When King Solomon concluded, "vanity, vanity, all is vanity," do you suppose he knew how far he would reach his pros.
Our life today continues to exhibit "there is nothing new under the sun." So, how can we deep dive into a topic without prejudice?
Firstly, let's consider the vast influence vanity brings to mind and how we relate to it as a whole, as
our negative influence dominates. Yet in the original Hebrew language, 'vanity' is 'hevel,' translated as a mere breath. So you can say, King Solomon announced, "mere breath, a mere breath, all is a mere breath." Like a whiff, a gust, a puff of smoke are some aspects of our lives to be evaluated. Now we are getting somewhere. Life is like a vapor or a mist.
Where do we accumulate our significance?
I say, "our substance of existence is meaningful when we add meaning to our existence."
Who we are being, how we show up, where our values glorify are all worthy of reflection and intimate inspection through our father's eyes: our heavenly father, the creator of the universe—always revealing to us through His Word the most valuable, treasured, meaningful, eternal qualities.
Mindless momentum creates a smokescreen of deception, stealing away the quality of life that reveals our most vulnerable aspects. Think well, think wisely, contemplate.
Where do we direct our attention? Are we making a sincere connection? Who or what is the most significant influence in your daily living?
When you look in the mirror, who do you see? Do you know what I see? Are you fixed or fixated on the mere breath that wastes. On the other hand, do you acknowledge "the breath of life" that was breathed into Adam and extended to Eve, the life force that filled us when we first believed?
No different to centuries past as we too may prosper in our ultimate intention, dissolving the prospect of misconception. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, as the reverent awe that comes to see with clarity what is and was and is to be.
Ask yourself, am I being caught up in the smoke that quickly fades, or actively set my mind on things above, knowing one day soon, we will be "caught up. " 1 Thessalonians 4:7 "Then we who are alive and remain (on the earth) will simultaneously be caught up (raptured) together with them (the resurrected ones) in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord!"
