Fast Forward to Fist Pound


Have you been surrounded by those you love who compassionately remind you of your rightful position and praise you accordingly? Or do you fist pound with work colleagues every time you do the right thing at the right time? Sounds promising. However, we do not go through life with an entourage of faithful companions who can quickly praise or re-enforce optimal solutions.

Tapping into your resourcefulness without others' attention is skill orientation. On recall, you can be astounded how quickly you can bring emotions into check with discipline.

There is nothing more powerful than a mother's reassuring voice to a better response from a distressed child. As commanding troops into action, an officer with authority will emphasize the soldier's position to execute the best outcome. An athlete frozen with nerves will immediately respond to the coach and move forward in the action plan. The business executive, overwhelmed with the capacity of unexpected setbacks, is quickly brought back to focus as colleagues keep the result pivotal. In the same, we command authority over our emotions.

These scenarios had results, a common factor between them all, a conviction, continually building habits of disciplined behavior that created outstanding results.

Learning to respond in the right way is a behavior pattern that sustains respect. A practice readily available when we use consistent, deliberate, daily discipline to enforce it.

We all know how easily certain situations or circumstances can evoke alarm bells that trigger unfortunate reactions. The inability to respond appropriately can deliver unexpected disastrous outcomes. Equally intensified are your results when the response is in right thinking, unexpected pleasurable consequences will prevail.

So what is the conclusion of the whole matter? Without the reinforced application of focusing on the optimal outcome, you will continue to sabotage your success. Okay, so you messed up, Big Deal! Do not rewind, regress, overthink and underact.

Fast forward your thinking to the result and automatically re-set your thoughts to work for you. Now that sounds to be like a favorable option worthy of your immediate attention. Fist pound!
